Excerpt
Spark and Miss Buttergrow are deep within his little cave.
The fireplace is burning with its mystic glow of familiarity.

You can sense it.  The air doesn’t smell the same.  Almost rot like. Yes, the evil is even encroaching on the little home, overpowering the Magickal rain. Soon, there will be nothing left.

“I want to help, but I don’t know much beyond my lake-pond,”
said Spark.

“It’s ok! We can start out slow, and easy.  The important thing is that we do start!” Miss Buttergrow reassured.”

“You, believe it or not, are inextricably linked to this the whole demise of the our land.  But this is a great thing, because you are so essential a link at in how we are going to restore everything!  It has to do with a certain portion that you have in your possession!”

“GET OUT!! GGGEEETTTT OUT!!!!!! YOU CAN’T HAVE IT!! I HAVE PLENTY IN THE INSECT WORLD WHO HATE ME. I WILL HAVE THEM KILL YOU!!! NEVER COME BACK!!!” the enraged Spark commanded.

“Nnnooww S s s pppaa a arrkkk… I assure you, I bring you no harm, and can do Magick! See!” All of a sudden, a swirl of different colored bubbles filled the air.

Legend of the Lost Rose
Suggested reading and summary by Jane Hoffman

Spark is a flying frog with special artistic gifts that he uses to express the value of his world. He likes to paint pictures of bugs who were once his friend, wildlife, symbols of nature that add magic to his world. He embraces a simple life in which he would like to enjoy his intricate pleasures of painting, music, reading and collecting art history within his comfortable cave he has tailor made. As the story unfolds, he discovers he has been called to be instrumental in removing evil from the land he lives in called LIGHT based on enemy infiltration that desire the secrets of a rose with special juices that are rare and offer long life. Good forces have come into his life to warn him and teach him how to combat the dark elements. He magnetizes toward Miss Buttergrow, an older woman from the Rainbow World who teaches him how to assert his energy while protecting hidden gifts of energy in the Land of Light where he lives.

She had access to a powerful black vial that Apovil, the head of the dark energy and original ruler of the world, wants to possess along with his minions. Spark must stop Apovil from mustering his bad energy on the earth. It turns out that Apovil was in the land of LIGHT alone and he solely created all the creatures that now exist including fantasy creatures such as horses with spikes instead of tails and gigantic butterflies. Apovil created a mystical world of balance and beauty. He also is 1000 years old and is losing the powerful creative energy of his youth in which he once created thousands of roses to fuel the land. Throughout the 144 page story, Spark will learn on his journey how to create special magic sources from Mrs. Buttergrow.

His mission is to take the vial of blue moonlight magic to the oldest of the Grand Roses and fully restore the City of LIGHT. Spark was chosen by the prophets to accomplish this mission. Spark must move out of his comfort zone and expose himself to the world around him which will provide him growth and skills. The story has a lot of thought behind it and beautiful imagery. The underlying theme of the story is the forces of good and evil and the attempt to conquer evil through magick. (spelling from story) Apovil did not start using dark energy until his powers were shrinking and then he became predatory.

This book is available through Apple and can be ordered through Pazzaria Productions. There are touch screen elements in which you can order items from the story for your collection such as a box with a rose or a painting of a mansion.

User Interactive Merchandise…

Comments 6 Standard

Pazzaria Productions is bringing something entirely new and different to the world of entertainment.

This is the idea of “User Interactive Merchandise”. These are items that are either integral to a character’s plot, and/or move your own personal story forward, within our world.

As an example….
In Chapter 1 – “A Spark Full of Life!” of  the epic Apple Book, “The Legend of the Lost Rose”, our hero, Spark the flying frog, is seen painting one of his usual masterpieces.

“Over the past year, a specialized area of interest has presented itself to Spark. He has heard about this “Grand Lost Rose”. It is the most revered flower in all of LIGHT. The juice, when extracted with special machines, is said to make one love everything, and live forever. The people whom have had this new type of rose are called the Roseela.

The flowers, nor the juice, are easy to come by. Due to the rose’s intense power, one cannot simply pick it. Even looking at them alive for more than a few minutes can stun a person. So they must be grown in ways that is are best for one’s health while attempting to preserve all of the benefits of this
mysterious flower.

The cost is so high, that only a small handful of factories can produce the juice. And at that, even a smaller number of creatures living in LIGHT can afford it.

Of course, the purest of these flowers is the red rose. Medicinal potions are made from lesser flowers from different colors, but, these aren’t nearly as powerful.

This rose species is so special to Spark that he’s painted its likeness upon a keepsake box. In here, he keeps his most valuable treasures.”

What Inspired Spark…

Comments 6 Standard

Spark the Flying Frog is a combination of many different aspects of my life.

For one, he’s gay, as am I.

He’s a multi-media artist, as am I.

He flies. Sorry. I am still working on that one.

He has many aspects of my own personality, yet
makes decisions that I wouldn’t always make.

In my humble opinion, he spends way too much
time on his art. And yet, I am, as well, simultaneously
jealous, as that is a key secret to his wide success.

He definitely likes to take control, in situations, as much as he
possibly can.

When he starts to learn magick, at first he is apprehensive,
as he is quite confused to the benefits, and how this would
even help with his art making.

Yet, as time goes on, he realizes that it serves as an extremely
important and valuable tool to saving the planet of Light.

I definitely wanted him to be faery like, yet not a faery.

This is where the wings come in.

The kind of frog that he meets is, as well,
extremely intelligent. He, in fact, has a college
degree. His name is Petite. Aside from the fact
that he gets Spark out of an extremely precarious
situation upon meeting, they two’s personalities
merge and coalesce perfectly together.

Why a frog?

I think that the frog form is really interesting.

There aren’t a whole lot of stories where frogs
are the heroes.

I kind of feel for this important race, and wanted
to do it justice.

Perhaps you will feel a little bit differently about frogs,
after experiencing my books?

Snow Crevette and the Evil Kids

They land and then, from out of nowhere, the ground opens up, and the whole team falls. They end up in a gigantic cave. It was oddly sweet smelling, with colorful tapestries lining the walls.

They appeared to depict the history of AIR, and how the elves lived. Apparently, they are quite proud of this.

There were also huge bags full of cookies, that looked like they had mail markings on them.

“This must be the place where they ship those delicious cookies!” exclaimed the Apovil.

“Really? I thought it was the factory of the toilet screws,” Rocky said out of turn.

“Really? I thought it was the factory of the toilet screws,” Rocky said out of turn.

“You know, Rocky, just because you can’t keep up with me…” said the Apovil.

“Kids, kids! This is no way to get anywhere! I demand to speak to someone with authority, this instant!” commanded Prince.

Suddenly, a rather queer looking elf showed himself in the form of a hologram in front of the tapestries.

“Yyyyyeeeeesssssss, my dears?” said he.

“Where are we? And why are we here?” asked Prince.

“You, too too looos, are inside one of the most important places in AIR. The cookie, pookie, parookie, room!”

Huh? The crew all had confused looks on their faces.

BALOSH!

The hologram had turned into none other than Crevette!
She appeared as herself and not a hologram.

“Is this your idea of starting your evil ways yet AGAIN?! And, when LIGHT is at its most dire?!” said a very exasperated Prince.

“I knew that you would be drawn here. So I trapped you. Big deal. Now, if you don’t give me what I want, I and every elf in AIR will have your lives.”

“And what is that?”

“The Blue Pixie Dust!”

“Wake up.  Wake up!” cried the little frog.

“What?  Whoa.  Wha wha…. Where am I?” asked Spark.

“At the farm, at La Grenouille Frites.”

“Heh?”

“You are in FIRE, in a town called Cuisine Française.  You are on a farm with thousands of other frogs, ready to be this week’s dinner.  We all thought you interesting with your wings and all.  Apparently so did chef Crevette.  She had a time catching you, with a huge net!  Now we all find ourselves trapped inside of this

bio-dome, in this pond.  The only time we can leave is when someone orders one of us off of the menu.”

“I don’t understand.  I’m on a special mission. I can’t be in here!  Not only our lives, but everyone’s in LIGHT depends on this!  LET ME OUT!  LET ME OUT!!!”

Suddenly, he started to fly around in a crazy fashion.  He was hitting all sides of the dome, and getting banged up.

“Calm down.  It’s okay.  YOU aren’t going anywhere.  Heh, heh, heh, heh.  You are a very lucky frog.  She doesn’t intend to kill you.  At least not yet.  Rather, she wants to stick you in a cage, like a bird, and use you as an ornament to impress the

restaurant guests.”

“You don’t get it.  I was chosen to go on a mission, to save the world.  I can’t be stopped now!  Especially, since the Apovil is moving so closely in, and so quickly. What’s your name?”

“It’s Petite.  Apo-who?  Our world is just fine.  Please calm down.  You will have all the flies that you can handle.”

“Tell me….  Have you noticed a decrease in the amount of frogs that come through here recently?”

“Well, now that you mention it, yes.  I just figured it was an increase in guests.”

“Not quite.  Has the restaurant stayed equally busy, even though the amount of frogs that have come through has decreased?”

“I never thought about this, but, YES!”

“Unfortunately this has been happening all too often in many places around LIGHT.  The planet’s Magickal life force has been on the decline.  No one really knows this.  Everyone thinks that this is just a natural phenomena and that it happens every

so often.”

“Well, isn’t it?”

Inspired by Star Wars…

Comments 6 Standard

Happy “May the 4th Be With You” Day!

Being an epic, fantasy entertainment company, we would be totally amiss to not acknowledge the incredibly imaginative and groundbreaking saga that is Star Wars.

We are totally inspired by it, and thought that we might include some videos and a photo gallery.

Out of everything Star Wars related, we are the most inspired by “Star Wars : Galaxy’s Edge”. So, that is what is included in the gallery. We believe that it is the finest work of the franchise.

One element, in particular, that we are the most touched by, in the films, is this idea of “the force”. We believe strongly that there is definitely an energy that holds the universe together.

Everyone can relate to that, no matter where you come from.

Thank you George Lucas, Lucasfilm and The Walt Disney Company for making the world a better place.

May the Force Be With You. Always.

Our Inspiration…

“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

– Walt Disney

~

We, here, at Pazzaria Productions, are inspired by a great many things.

While the people in the animated .gif above might not need any introduction,
just in case, I will list them here….

• Walt Disney

• Steve Jobs

• Leonardo da Vinci

These are the top three influences, out of many many that immediately come to mind.

Others are definitely the likes of Elon Musk, Howard Schultz, Jeff Bezos, Whoopi Goldberg,
Oprah, Ellen, Barack Obama, Roy Disney and so, so many more.

For us, it really is a matter of putting a “dent in the universe”.

We like to take a look at what’s around us, and use technology to turn things inside out, upside down, and, hopefully, come out the other side with something truly extraordinary.

Our mission statement is:

“Everything that a guest would see, eat, buy, touch, do, wear, etc… all has to do with their own personal adventure within our world.”

To that end, we are always exploring new and different ways to tell stories. But, not only to just tell them, but to live them and be immersed by them.

At the current time, we are solely an online company. By nature, this defaults us to pieces of software created by Apple and Adobe.

It’s important for us to use this software, as an example, what happens when you merge Photoshop with Adobe Spark Post?

What clever, new and unique ways can we use Adobe Aero?

How are other people not using iBooks Author and what can we add to the space?

It’s these kinds of questions that we like to ask ourselves every single day, to bring you something that only we can provide.

Below are links to some key books, that we have read, and highly recommend.

Please stay safe during this very sensitive time. Be well.

“Nighttime.

“Wow! What’s that down there?” pointed Spark.

“Those would be fireworks, my dear,” answered Petite.

“Obviously they are both visually and sensually appealing.”

“Obviously,” and Petite kissed Spark in the joy of watching
such beauty.

“What a display!” exclaimed Miss Buttergrow.

“Awsome! Wooo wooof! Who is up for crashing a party?”
asked Prince.

“Oh no, we couldn’t,” said Petite.

“Dang it, I AM THE Prince. If I say we crash it, then we crash it!”

“Down we goooooo!” said Rocky.

And, down they went! The fireworks were a sight. They formed all kinds of flowers, houses, trees, planets, birds, lively shapes and dazzling colors. If ever there was some Magick in the stars,
this is it!

“What do you suppose they are celebrating?” asked Spark.”

“This time of year? Most likely Yule. Frankly, I am surprised that we haven’t seen more displays such as these throughout FIRE,” said Miss Buttergrow.

“Individual families are celebrating by burning the proper decorative logs in their homes. I love the smell personally. And, the energies are most wondrous and fair. Of course, a show such as this is extravagantly odd. I haven’t seen anything like it for quite some time,” said a suspicious Prince.

“Indeed. The Apovil should have rendered extravagances like this completely dead.”

“How are we going to ‘blend in’, as it were?” asked Petite, a little worried now that something seemed not quite right.

“For this, we improvise!” said a proud and excited Prince.

They landed in a forest a few hundred feet away. As they got closer, they saw that an unusual number of frogs were at
this gathering.

“We will sneak up into a crowd and then just blend in conversationally. If anyone asks where we are from, just say that we are here on behalf of the Grand Rose. Some time ago, while no one really paid attention, I made a decree that stated that I can show up anywhere, anytime, for any reason, as long as it was on behalf of The Grand Rose,” said Prince.”

“Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Pit pat. Thunder. Lightning. Lightning.

Harsh drops are falling upon the lake-pond. Spark is worried about overflow, but then thinks how much Magick, and a positive energy this is bringing to his home. It’s a form of protection. The more rain he can have, the more safe he feels.

A visitor appears at his door in a bolt of lightning.

Now, this is quite surprising, because Spark doesn’t get many visitors, and prefers it that way. Here, we have the part about
Iris Buttergrow, or Miss Buttergrow. What is she? Why is she here? Does she want something from Spark?”

“Spark and Miss Buttergrow are deep within his little cave.
The fireplace is burning with its mystic glow of familiarity.

You can sense it. The air doesn’t smell the same. Almost rot like. Yes, the evil is even encroaching on the little home, overpowering the Magickal rain. Soon, there will be nothing left.

“Nnnooww S s s pppaa a arrkkk… I assure you, I bring you no harm, and can do Magick! See!” All of a sudden, a swirl of different colored bubbles filled the air.

“If I wanted to, I could have located your potion, been off with it, and could do this from miles away. Spark, my dear friend, I don’t want it. Don’t you see? I am here for you! I came to help you. Would you like to see where I am from?”

“Well, the bubbles are beautiful, and, yes, that would be very special.” Something told Spark that this lovely faery was telling him the truth, and she did have Magick, so maybe she did not need his vial for herself and really wanted to help him.

Suddenly, she produced a pretty art tile that shows a romantic watercolor of her mansion home.

“Wow! Can I have this? It would be very inspiring for me to hang on my wall!”

“Why, yes! Here! I am glad to be expanding your view of the world. After all, not too many folks know where I have come from. This truly is a defining moment!”
